INFORMATION
KORTERMÁL Service and Healthcare Ltd. received a non-refundable grant of HUF 59,527,058 under the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Program, announced by the Ministry of Finance on February 12, 2018, titled “Support for building energy developments implemented using renewable energy.”
Project title: “Energy Modernization of Kortermál Ltd.”
Project ID: GINOP-4.1.2-18-2019-00450
-
Eligible project cost: HUF 119,054,116
-
Grant received: HUF 59,527,058
-
Support intensity: 50%
-
Company’s main activity: Hotel services
The aim of the project was to implement additional cost-reducing developments to improve competitiveness.
Energy modernization measures included:
-
Building envelope: Exterior walls were insulated with a 5 cm Austrotherm Graphite 80 system (calculated U-value 0.42 W/m²K). Flat roofs were insulated with 14 cm Austrotherm AT-N100 EPS and waterproof PVC membrane (U-value 0.17 W/m²K). Windows were replaced with modern triple-glazed PVC frames with an average U-value of 0.84 W/m²K.
-
Mechanical systems: Heating is currently provided by 2 wall-mounted condensing boilers with steel panel radiators. Thermostatic radiator valves were installed, and hydraulic balancing was carried out according to plan. Electric heating elements were installed in hot water tanks for future solar panel integration.
-
Solar panels: A 58.85 kWp photovoltaic system was installed on the flat roof, with an estimated annual output of 60,000 kWh, enabling more cost-effective energy production.
The investment was expected to increase revenue, reduce net production costs per unit, and improve market presence both domestically and internationally.
